Welcome to IngredientIQ. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the IngredientIQ mobile application, web backend, or AI scanner services (collectively referred to as the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you are prohibited from accessing or continuing to utilize our platform.
2. Medical & Veterinary Disclaimer

IngredientIQ utilizes Artificial Intelligence to analyze dietary ingredients, pet food additives, and cosmetic chemicals. Our service is strictly for informational, educational, and lifestyle transparency purposes. IngredientIQ DOES NOT provide clinical medical, pediatric, nutritional, dermatological, or veterinary diagnoses or treatment prescriptions.
While our algorithms apply strict nutritional guardrails against added sugars, trans fats, nitrates, parabens, heavy metals, and forever chemicals (PFAS), our interpretations do not supersede certified medical consultations. Individuals with severe allergies, metabolic disorders, or chemical sensitivities—and pet owners dealing with animal clinical diet restrictions—must consult qualified physicians, veterinarians, or dermatologists before altering consumer diets or skincare routines.
3. Subscriptions & Payment Terms
IngredientIQ offers free and paid recurring subscription plans ("Premium Guardian" and "Family & Pet Pack"). By initiating a paid subscription or free trial through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe billing web gateways, you consent to recurring billing intervals as selected at checkout.
- Free Trials: If you enroll in a 7-day free trial, you may cancel at least 24 hours prior to the trial conclusion to avoid automated charges.
- Cancellation & Refunds: Subscriptions may be terminated anytime via your device app store subscription management or user dashboard. Refunds are governed in accordance with standard Apple App Store and Google Play refund protocols.
4. AI Image Analysis & User Content
When you take photographs or upload images of ingredient labels, food packages, pet meal cans, or cosmetic product ingredients, you retain ownership of your original uploaded media. You grant IngredientIQ a non-exclusive, worldwide, encrypted license to process your submitted images solely to execute optical character recognition, toxicity detection guardrails, and generate alternative brand recommendations.
You agree not to upload abusive, unlawful, or copyright-infringing media into our AI vision analysis pipeline.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IngredientIQ and its licensors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from any inaccurate ingredient transcription, unrecognized chemical synonyms, or dietary reactions resulting from products scanned or alternatives suggested by our service.
